Fine Fireclay, Fired at 1200–1280 °C
Every TAITAO fireclay sink is cast as a single piece and fired in a 96-metre natural-gas tunnel kiln: 36 computer-controlled combustion zones, an 18-hour continuous cycle, and a four-hour soak at peak temperature between 1200 °C and 1280 °C. The firing fuses glaze and body into one finished face that is dense, non-porous and dimensionally stable from the first unit to the ten-thousandth. That glazed surface resists scratches, chipping, staining and thermal shock from boiling water or a hot pan, and because there are no seams or bonded layers, there is nothing to delaminate over time. Every firing runs to the same curve, so glaze colour and sheen stay consistent across batches — the detail that matters most when you are fitting hundreds of units into one development.
