Kiln-fired at 1280°C to a dense, non-porous vitrified glaze that resists scratches, stains and thermal shock. What Only the Factory Can Tell You About the S1915-Series Fireclay Sink
TAITAO fires both its fireclay and vitreous china bodies through a 96-meter tunnel kiln between 1200°C and 1280°C, and the glaze is applied and matured in the same firing. A fireclay body carries very little flux, which is what lets it hold its shape as the kiln approaches peak temperature instead of softening into whatever gravity wants.
That single-pass schedule is why our drawings carry a fired millimetre target and a separate nominal inch size: the millimetre figure is what the kiln is held to, the inch figure is the cabinet size the sink is sold against. Two different references — not a rounding error.
New OEM formats are tooled in-house: moulds are machined on our own CNC cells, so a drawing revision does not wait on an outside mould shop. In practice that is the difference between a supplier who can move a radius or an apron profile for you and one who cannot.
