Vitreous China, Fired at 1280 °C
Every TAITAO bathroom basin is slip-cast from selected kaolin clay and fired for 18 hours at 1280 °C in a 96-metre gas-fired tunnel kiln and a 128 m³ shuttle kiln. Full vitrification brings water absorption below 0.2%, so the body is dense, non-porous and dimensionally stable — it resists crazing, staining and odour instead of absorbing them. Because there are no seams or bonded layers, there is nothing to delaminate over years of daily use, and every firing runs to the same curve, so glaze colour and sheen stay consistent across batches — the detail that matters when hundreds of basins go into one hotel or residential development. For larger programmes we can match custom glaze colours to your sample or to a nominated Pantone / RAL reference.
