Tools You'll Need
Confirm Cabinet Top & Dry-Fit
Verify the vanity cabinet top opening matches the LV11248 footprint of 800 × 500 mm. Set the one-piece unit on the cabinet dry, without sealant, and check that the ceramic edge sits square and even on all sides before final placement.
Apply a Silicone Bead to the Cabinet Edge
Run a continuous 100% silicone bead along the top face of the cabinet where the ceramic unit will seat. This forms the watertight seal between the fired ceramic and the cabinet. Avoid gaps at the corners where water can track through.
Seat the One-Piece Top Onto the Cabinet
Lower the LV11248 onto the cabinet so the ceramic edge rests flush on the cabinet top. Press evenly around the perimeter to bed the silicone, then wipe the excess from inside and outside with a damp cloth for a clean fillet.
Secure From Underside (Cabinet Fixings)
Fasten the unit to the cabinet using the cabinet maker's recommended underside brackets or clips and a light, even torque. Do not over-tighten — the ceramic edge already carries the load, and over-clamping can crack the vitreous china.
Connect Drain & Faucet, Pressure-Test for Leaks
Fit the Ø45 mm drain assembly with its gasket, mount the single-hole faucet, connect the P-trap and supply, then run water for 2–3 minutes and inspect the seal and trap joints from below. Tighten only if a weep appears, then re-test before closing up.
